Drowning Pool was a very popular band requested on Texas radio stations, Wind-Up Records signed the band for their debut release in 2001 called Sinner. The single Bodies put Drowning Pool on the top of the charts which let to inclusion as a band on OzzFest 2001 which contributed to the band's fame. Making a name at OzzFest created a following of fans for Drowning Pool. The band continued to tour with support of Jagermeister Tour in 2002 during the spring and a main stage bill for the summer at OzzFest 2002. Unfortunately the band recently came to a complete stop in their career when on August 14, 2002, Dave Williams the front man was found unconscious and pronounced dead in Manassas, VA en-route to Bristow, VA during the popular heavy metal OzzFest Tour. Dave Williams was the front man for the metal band out of Dallas, TX who was considered a very pleasant person by many who knew him and bands whot supported each other on road tours. Reported on
